#3 Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys - My Chemical Romance
Fantastic album because it shows what MCR can be when they get away from the image they're known for. Away from the black, white & red dreariness with songs of angst and heartbreak, they explode with color and fast, fun hard-hitting pop punk-rock.
#2 Brothers - The Black Keys
The sound of TBK tightening up their sound but keeping it slack, growing but staying familiar. Songs from this album were everything last year, middle of tv shows, on commercials, and by that getting everyone interested in them and keeping them away from the inDIE scene {bleck}
#1 My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
The album that silenced everybody's notion of Kanye's career being over. An amazing album that started my interest in hip-hop. It's a marvel in that none of the songs sound samey and even though there's samples it doesnt sounds like anything you've heard before, it all melds so well together. The only flaw is it very much deserves it's parental advisory sticker...
